Heat.
The Powerbook 15" 1.5GHz gets quite warm.
37 degrees celcius at the bottom near the back,
33.7 at the top near the power plug, 36.7 above the 'F6' key,
30.6 on the trackpad after not using it for 5 minutes.
After keeping the Powerbook on my lap for a while,
with the power plugged in and the internal fan active,
the base near the rear reached 45.4
degrees celcius!
The ambient temperature in the room was 22.5 degrees celcius,
the laptop was sitting on a coffee table not doing very much at all.
The measurements were taken using a "Temp Alert" temperature censor
from Dick Smith Electronics, so not "super scientific".
I'll definitely take measurements with the equipment in the office,
it might be interesting to compare a few laptops!
Trackpad.
I am very surprised with my trackpad use. I use it more than the Thinkpad's Trackpoint.
Sometimes I just put the mouse, a Logitech Bluetooth MX 900 mouse, aside and use the trackpad.
The Thinkpad T40p has a trackpad as well as the Trackpoint but it is smaller then the 15"
Powerbook's and I disabled it since I hated using it.
