Ow! My head hurts!
Is Exchange meant to be painful? I tried to use my employer provided
Microsoft Entourage to connect to the Exchange server without success.
This is, so far, the only thing I have not been able to get working in OSX.
Background.
I.S. recently gave the artists 3GHz PCs as an upgrade to their old G4/500 Macs.
Some people still have their Macs next to the new PCs, some have switched to PC
totally, and one has held onto the Mac only. The artists were still using OS9 and
refusing to move over to 10. They had good reason for this,
fonts and software and printers that wouldn't work under 10.1.5.
So I am trying to get Exchange to work under 10.1.5, with Entourage updated
to the latest version, and also on the PB15" with 10.3.4.
All the settings are correct (according ot I.S.) and I've tried on both systems
using a variety of modified settings in Entourage, locking the two of us out
of our accounts several times! After the lack of success with Entourage I tried Mail on 10.3.
Seems more logical in the setup windows, but still no success. So, out of desperation,
I set the 10.1.5 Mac to use Microsoft Outlook inside OS9, it works.

I've tried multiple variations of the above settings and nothing has worked.
Nothing I've found through the internet has helped, and not being a networking
expert myself, I am at a complete loss.
I will keep trying, and I will keep on seearching for answers and hints.
When it is working I will of course post the final settings and explanation here!
