I just spent a few relaxing days with my partner in the
Blue Mountains. When we came back to Sydney, I tried to update
the site and found that the Adobe GoLive trial had finished!
So, now I have no GoLive on the Mac or on the IBM until I buy
it. I guess I can go without food for a month...
On Windows I have been using Visual Studio .NET's editor to
edit my HTML. Visual Studio .NET's editor highlights the HTML
tags, and shows the attributes for the simple tags.
On the Mac I am using SubEthaEdit for the moment, it
highlights the HTML tags, but doesn't seem to suggest tag
attributes, which is a little annoying. This just means my
search for an all-round text editor has to accelerate!
Editing my simple pages using SubEthaEdit is not too
painful, for most of the tags I use I know most of the
attributes anyway.
Adobe GoLive (seperate) AU$699 or AU$137 (academic) from
Harris Technologies(Australia).
Adobe Create Suite Premium AU$1899 or $604 (academic) also
from Harris
Technologies(Australia).
I have also since been "told" why people I know don't want
to switch to Mac: "Oh, but there's no software around for
them..." with more than a hint of piracy in the
air...
