I'm currently slowing
down on my switch blog. this is because the Powerbook 17" is mostly for
my Girlfriend's use. I only get saturday and late nights on weekdays!
This will change soon. I am in the process of moving all my "stuff" from
my Thinkpad T40p to my Thinkpad A31, software installation on Windows
is so much fun! The A31 is my previous machine and will be
enough to cover the gap between selling the T40p and receiving
a Powerbook 15" 1.5GHz with the faster drive and the extra
video memory. I can't wait!
I have also completed a rebuild of the
site this week. Now the content is the parent of several
<IFRAME> elements, instead of a <FRAMESET> being
the parent of the content. Much cleaner this way. I did most
of this work on the Thinkpad, and in the process found that
VIsualC++.NET likes to insert a <DIV> element whenever I
would like a <P> element. The next step is to make
sure it's all standards compliant, I am assuming it isn't at
this time.
Some more correspondence this week. This in reply to the
monday
entry regarding the Motorola A835 3G Bluetooth "enabled" mobile phone.
You can often get
the computer to talk to the phone without pairing the devices (typing
in the passcode on the phone and computer). While this will work, it
will lead to the devices stopping to recognize each other by default.
Maybe that is the problem?
I recommend you check out Clicker:

The problem described
only happens with the Motorola phone, not my own Siemens S55.
I have not had a chance to checkout Clicker yet, I did
download it though! The phone is not mine which means I have
to wait until there is a moment the phone is not needed. Most
likely I will try to connect the phone this week late at
night...
I specifically convinced my Girlfriend to buy a Bluetooth
enabled phone so it could be sync'ed with the Mac
and could be used as a modem also. Oh
well...
